Cartagena Folk Art Tapestry

This rectangular hand-woven wool tapestry features a pictorial folk art design depicting a pyramid-like procession of faceless figures wearing ponchos and white wide-brimmed hats against a solid blue ground. The bottom edge is finished with a wide red band and the top and bottom edges show unspun warp threads. A measuring tape is placed vertically along the right side indicating dimensions.  The tapestry shows minor pulling along the selvedges, which is consistent with age and use. There are no noticeable stains, tears, or major structural losses.
